PS70 Project 01 Web Development Project Planning

Project Overview

The overall goal of this project was to create a website using github. Initally I used VSCODE but as I got better at coding I moved to Cursor. This allowed me to create a more sophisted look that I will be using as my personal website going forward. I believe the massive lesson I learned with this website creation is the importance of organization. I had to learn how to organize my code in a way that was easy to understand and easy to maintain. I also learned the importance of planning and wireframing.

Final Project Proposal

Project Vision

The final project that I will be undergoing for PS70 is creating a smart headgear that can be used to monitor combat sports athletes head impacts. The motivation behind this is while there has been innovation in many sports, boxing and MMA have been largely left untoched.

Project Description & Technical Components

The smart headgear will incorporate various sensors to monitor and analyze head impacts during training and competition:

  • Impact force measurement and analysis
  • Real-time monitoring of head movement and acceleration
  • Data collection for long-term health assessment
  • Integration with mobile applications for immediate feedback
  • Accelerometer and gyroscope sensors for impact detection
